Yes! Flora is completely free to download and use. All flowers, descriptions, and fun facts are available at no cost. In the future we may introduce optional features, but the daily flower experience will always remain free.
Flora is currently an iOS-exclusive app, available on iPhone. Please check the App Store listing for the minimum iOS version required.
No account is required. Simply download Flora and it works immediately. There is no sign-up, no email address, and no password.
The flower updates every day at midnight (local device time). The same flower is shown to all users on the same calendar day, so there is always one shared "flower of the day".
You can bookmark flowers you love to save them for later. Browsing back through the full archive of past flowers may be introduced in a future update.
Every flower includes: a beautiful photograph, the common name, the Latin (scientific) name, a short description, a longer detailed description, and a fun fact.
Flora supports both Home Screen and Lock Screen widgets on iOS. After installing the app, add a Flora widget from your device's widget picker. The widget will automatically display the current flower of the day and refresh at midnight each night.
Yes, Flora is fully offline. All flower content is bundled inside the app; no internet connection is ever needed. The widgets also work without Wi-Fi or mobile data.
Yes! The share button in the app lets you send the current flower, image and name, to anyone via iMessage, Instagram, WhatsApp, or any other app on your device.
No. Flora collects absolutely no personal data. It requests no permissions (no camera, microphone, contacts, or location), and nothing is ever sent to external servers.
Your bookmarks are stored locally on your device only. They are never uploaded to a cloud service or shared with anyone.
No. Flora contains no third-party analytics SDKs, no advertising frameworks, and no tracking libraries of any kind. What you do inside the app stays entirely on your device.
Deleting the app from your device removes all locally stored preferences and bookmarks. Since nothing is stored externally, there is nothing to request deletion of, it's all gone once the app is uninstalled.
